Into the dark

The more books I read from Karen Rose the more I love them! Every book I read I’m a greater fan.

Into the dark tells the story of Michael. He is the eyewitness of the murder of his stepfather. When he’s getting his brother from his soccer practice, coach Diesel sees there is something very wrong. He brings the boys to Dani Novak. Diesel and Dani do all that they can to protect the boys. As more bodies start to appear it’s clear that Michael is in more danger the they thought.

Into the dark is different from the other books I read from Karen Rose, the themes and characters take you by the throat. A deaf teenager is not average. But just because she does this it change you view on the fellow men.

You forget the time when you are reading. You have to pay attention. Rose tells the story from different points of view. Many storylines alternate rapidly. They all have tere own background and there is much of attention for it.

The nice thing is the speaking of Michael. You get nog the feeling his is doing sign language but he is speaking like anybody else, only with his hands.

Emotions will overpower you when you read it. The theme child abuse, human trafficking and heavy criminality are not common subject. When Michael tells his story, you hope you’ll never hear it from someone you know.

Out of the dark is not only a thriller. It’s a book that makes you forget time, let’s you laugh and let you cry.

Enjoy reading.
